Notes: Transcript of a 3.5-hour interview completed under the auspices of the UCLA Oral History Program. Audio recordings also may be accessed in the UCLA Department of Special Collections by special arrangement. The interview, conducted entirely in Italian, contains an in-depth discussion of the principal events of Tafuri's life. Topics covered include education, religion and his interest in psychoanalysis. He discusses his long struggle for a new approach to academic education and his concept of the history of architecture.
